  1. Go to https://handbrake.fr/downloads.php to get started
  2. Choose the appropriate platform for your operating system.
  3. Open HandBrake and choose ‘File’ from the menu the menu bar
  4. Locate your video file on your computer or laptop and select ‘Open File’. The file you are converting will be listed next to the ‘Source’ heading.
  5. Select ‘Browse’ under ‘Save As’ and browse to a location for your new file. Enter a file name and then press the ‘Save’ button.
  6. Select ‘Presets,’ then ‘General,’ and finally ‘OK.’
  7. Select ‘Fast 720p30’ from the preset menu.
  8. To begin the compression process, click ‘Start Encode.’
  9. This operation could take several minutes depending on your computer’s speed and the size of the file. If you have multiple videos to compress, use the ‘Add to Queue’ button to queue them. HandBrake will convert all of the files in your queue.
