Riot Vanguard on Android Emulator Issues

Valorant patch notes – what's new in the latest update? | The Loadout

Riot Vanguard is Riot Games’ custom game security software, designed to ensure that our offerings maintain the highest levels of competitive integrity. Riot Vanguard is made up of a client that runs in the background while VALORANT is active, as well as a kernel-mode driver.

Riot Vanguard’s client and driver were created in-house, with game and computer safety being top priorities. We’ve made this commitment by putting the product through rigorous testing and reviewing it both internally and with the help of industry experts.

There are several reasons why the error “Vanguard has detected the following incompatible software on your system” appears. Riot Games is a well-known video game developer that has released a number of successful titles. Vanguard is an effective anti-cheat system that performs as expected. Over the course of a decade, I’ve played a lot of AAA games, and the Riot anti-cheat system is at the top of my list. I’ll show you how to resolve the “Incompatible Software Detected” error in Windows 11.

What is Causing Vanguard Incompatible Software in Mobile Development?

I had two different issues with the Vanguard anti-cheat system, and you can fix them by figuring out who’s to blame. I don’t want you to waste time trying to figure out which component or program is causing the problem because Windows is complicated software. Allow me to explain why Vanguard detected incompatible software on the machine.

  • Android Emulator
  • Malware in disguise
  • Corrupted system files
  • Colliding programs or background applications

Because the cheat detection tool is always running in the background, Riot Games should step forward and simplify it. I’ll start with a quick fix and work my way up to a more advanced solution for more complex scenarios.

things to consider

Keep everything as it is

You’re good to go if you dismiss the alert and your emulator performs as expected. I’ve been developing for Android with Vanguard installed for a year and have had no problems.

Disable the Vanguard service

If something doesn’t work as expected and you don’t want to uninstall Valorant, the Vanguard service can be disabled. You can disable it directly from the console or go into Windows’ Services manager to do so. To do the latter, open a CMD on a higher level and type:

sc config vgc start= disabled

Then restart your computer, and you’re all set.

However, you will be unable to play Valorant as a result of this. If you want to play, you’ll need to restart your PC after re-enabling Vanguard with the following command:

sc config vgc start= system

Uninstall Vanguard

Last but not least, both Valorant and Riot Vanguard can be uninstalled. Make sure to remove the Riot Vanguard service as well. It’s probably in C:Program FilesRiot Vanguardvgc.exe.
