How To Import and Export Bookmarks in Your Browser?

If you are planning to switch browsers, you can do so without losing your settings and all the bookmarks for your favorite websites. Depending on the browser you used, your settings can include the following info:

  • browsing history
  • default homepage
  • bookmarks
  • default search engines
  • saved passwords

Step 1. Click the Chrome menu button  and select Bookmark Manager from the Bookmarks option.

Step 2. From the Bookmark manager, click the Organize button and choose Export Bookmarks to HTML file.

Step 3. Save your HTML file to your Documents or any folder that you want.

Step 4. To restore your bookmarks to your browser, follow the above steps, but Click Import Bookmarks from HTML file, from the Organize menu.

Step 5. Browse to your Documents folder or any folder where you saved your bookmark file. Locate it and import.
