Understanding the Data Privacy

What is Data Privacy?

Data privacy relates to how a piece of information or data should be handled based on its relative importance. Data Privacy describes the practices which ensure that the data shared by customers is only used for its intended purpose. But for some instances, you likely would not mind sharing your name and other information to a stranger. Protecting user data and sensitive information is a first step to keeping user data private.

In this modern day, we typically apply the concept of data privacy to critical personal information. This can include health and medical records, bank account and credit card numbers, and even basic, but still sensitive, information, such as full names, addresses and birthdates. That is why it is very important for us to be alert and mindful to every information we would give to anyone we just met. Protecting your personal information is very important especially in today’s situation that almost everything need to be done online.
