Go back in time with the “Wayback Machine” extension

Have you always wondered what google looks like in 2002 or what Facebook looks like in 2008, well with the help of the “Wayback Machine” extension you are now able to view the past websites with the internet users saved internet archives. Let’s start.

Installation:

To start it off, go to google and search google chrome extension and search “Wayback Machine” and add it to chrome or click this link to redirect.

How to Use:

After adding it to chrome you can go to your extensions and click the “Wayback Machine” extension to use it.

When clicked there should be a pop-up showing that looks like this where you can enter the URL of your choosing (I chose to pick YouTube) and select the red calendar button after entering the URL:

After clicking the calender button, you will be redirected to another tab where you can navigate through which specific year, month, and date you wanted to see.

So, in my case I chose July 7, 2009 around 7:43.

And there you go, you can now see what YouTube looks like in July 7, 2009 (You can also watch some videos and search but there are times that it doesn’t work due to time conflict and other advancements).

Bonus: This is what google looks like in December 2, 1998

I hope this tutorial helps you with your curiosities and I hope this tutorial helps you a lot. Thank you.
