What is a Web Server?

The Web Server is requested to present the content website to the user’s browser. This Internet Protocol address is used to communicate across the Internet between different servers. The main job of a web server is to display the website content.

The web server’s primary goal is to store, process, and distribute web pages to users. This intercommunication is done using Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). The web server also supports SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) and FTP (File Transfer Protocol) for emailing and file transfer and storage.
