WAMPs, MAMPs, and LAMPs all come as a package that links the bundled programs together, so you don’t have to install and configure them separately. This means you can just download and install a single program, then follow a few simple prompts to get your web development server up and running in the shortest amount of time and with the least amount of effort.
Several default options are created for you after installation. Because it is custom-made for local usage, the security configurations of such an installation will be less strict than those of a production web server. As a result, such a system should never be used as a production server.
